Life isn’t easy for most of us, but that isn’t really a bad thing.

If you have stumbled here, perhaps you are searching for ideas to help inspire you, empower you to improve your life situation, or to make positive changes, or at least learn to be at peace with life’s many many challenges. Or perhaps you are one of my friends on Facebook or a follower on Twitter. No matter, I am glad you are here and I hope you find one or more of these books useful for your life ‘Journey’.

Life isn’t easy for most of us, but that isn’t really a bad thing, if you think about it. It is through challenges and adversity that we build both strength and confidence that we can overcome most anything, if we just hang in there and persevere. I know this isn’t always the case, some people never get past the challenges thrown at them, they turn to self pity, drugs or alcohol and essentially allow life to spiral out of control.

The fact that you are here, reading this post, implies that perhaps you are looking to learn to control your life’s direction or experience, which is the first step in doing so, a desire and belief that you can.

This posts focus is on literature, particularly literature that was written to help people in some way or another, inspirational stories. To learn to be happy in a world that is throwing so much uncertainty, hardship and stresses into many many families the world over is not easy, but it is possible. Perhaps you want to make some changes in your life, get a new career, take some training, loss weight, love more, get past trauma or grief, overcome fears, build self esteem or otherwise ‘improve’.

This has been a journey that I have been on now for some time. I started my journey of searching for answers and understanding due to a huge loss. I needed to know ‘why’, I needed to learn how to find peace, meaning and happiness in life again. I think I have made big steps but this continues to be a ‘journey’ I expect to continue for life.

What follows is a list of some of the books I have read through 2021 that I feel others may find helpful, inspirational and empowering. I hope that this post may help someone, because in helping others, we can’t help but also help ourselves! There is no gratification that I know of that is as powerful as the gratification of knowing you have made a difference in someone’s life (even if just for a day). I hope that some of you reading this will find inspiration in some of these stories that I have referenced here.
